Ingredients

1/2 cup pecans
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1/4 cup shortening
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Sift flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon into mixing bowl.  Put pecans in glass container and blend chop.  Add to flour.  Cream egg, vanilla, shortening, and sugar.  Stir into flour mixture.  Spread evenly in greased 8×8 pan.  Bake 30 mins. at 350 deg.
