Ingredients

1/2 pound beef ground
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup oil
1 onion sliced
1 clove garlic
1/4 pound mushrooms
1 can tomato paste
1 1/2 cups water
1/4 bay leaf
1/2 pound spaghetti
parmesan

Brown beef with salt and pepper.  Add onion, oil, garlic, and mushrooms.  Cook until onions are yellow.  Add tomato paste, water, bay leaf simmer until thick.  Remove bay leaf and garlic.  Cook noodles according to package.  Put noodles in center of platter.  Arrange meat sauce atop noodles.  Sprinkle liberally with parmesan cheese.
