Ingredients
1 cup flour sifted
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
1/4 cup milk
food coloring red
350 degree oven
Sift flour, b. powder & salt onto waxtex. Mix butter and sugar in a large bowl till fluffy, beat in egg & extract. Stir flour mix alternately w/ milk and butter mix. Color half of dough pink. Roll into pencil thick rolls 5 in. long & twist together. Bake on ungreased cookie sheets – 10 min – cool on sheets, then wire racks.
