Mongolian Beef (crockpot style)

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs. flank steak thinly sliced against the grain
1/4 c. corn starch
1 T. toasted sesame oil
3 t. garlic minced
1 t. ginger minced
1/4 c. soy sauce low sodium
1/4 c. teriyaki sauce
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water
mushrooms fresh or canned
1/2 c. green onions cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  1. Mix steak in a bowl will the cornstarch to coat evenly.
  2. Add the flank steak to the slow cooker.
  3. Place the sesame oil, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, brown sugar and water in the slow cooker. Stir to coat the meat in the sauce.
  4. Cover and cook on high for 2-3 hours or low for 4-5 hours.
  5. Toward the end of cooking time, add mushrooms.
  6. At the end of cook time, top with sliced green onions.

Serve with steamed broccoli and jasmine rice.
