With a fork coarsely mash avocado. Add tomatoes, onion, and lemon juice. Season with hot sauce to taste. Place plastic wrap directly on surface, and refrigerate until serving.
How to pick a perfect avocado……….
- Look for green skin, not brown
- Skin should give in evenly, but should not be mushy
- If you can not find a ripe one, buy a hard one and let it ripen in a brown paper bag on the counter.
How to slice the avocado…………
- Slice all the way around vertically
- Open the avocado, and tap a knife blade into the pit, twist and remove
- Make small slices in the flesh horizontally and vertically. Then scoop out the flesh, it will come out in neat cubes!
